There was a buzz in the air around downtown Los Angeles, more than just the constant hum of air conditioners, fighting mother nature and her heat. No, this was a special day, as two people were coming together, beginning life anew, hand in hand. Sean and Christina had a long road to this day, and they were going to savor every minute of it. As Christina lovingly wrote a message to her future husband, her girls readied themselves for what was to come. Sean and the boys no doubt were enjoying themselves, fending off the nerves and excitement. Finally it was time, time to reveal the most beautiful bride to her beaming, proud fiance. The result was magical, and it was amazing to be a part of. Sean and Christina exchanged their vows in the traditional Hsi Lai Temple in Hacienda Heights, a facility so expansive and ornate that you couldn’t help but stand in awe of its beauty. The reception was held at the Brunswick Studio in downtown Los Angeles, an amazing loft space in its own right.  These two made the day their own, and it couldn’t have been more perfect.

A big thank you to Joe from Joe+Kathrina Photography for assisting me on this wedding!  The amazing wedding coordinator was Jenn Yamauchi, and the hair and makeup was done by the incredibly talented Cicelee Padilla.

Christian + Maureen :: Video Highlights

Here is the incredible Same Day Edit highlights video posted by our good friends over at NR3 Productions from Christian and Maureen’s wedding.  These guys are ridiculously talented, and often rated the top videographers in San Diego each year (again in 2010), so we highly recommend them!

Scott + Kristina :: Port of Los Angeles Engagement

When our clients have unique access to photo locations, we suddenly turn giddy, like little kids finding out they’re on their way to Disneyland.  So when we started talking with Kristina and Scott about where we would plan their engagement session, the idea of shooting at the Port of Los Angeles was a dream come true.  A beautiful Sunday afternoon greeted us as we passed through security, and an unusually-quiet day at the Port was just what we were hoping for.  Kristina and Scott were definitely made to be in front of the camera, and their adventurous spirit was ideal for the spot they chose to share some laughs and embrace each other as future husband and wife!  They’ll be getting married next month in Long Beach, and we cannot wait to see what’s in store for that exciting day!!

Christian + Maureen :: Day After

After a day of partying, laughing, dancing and celebrating, it is amazing that these two newlyweds could come back literally the next day and rock the camera like they did!  We met them at the swank Tower 23 hotel in Pacific Beach, and then explored the back streets and alleys of Mission Beach before finishing off along the shore.  Thank you guys for two incredible days of photos and fun!!

Christian + Maureen :: San Diego Wedding

The party started bright and early with the arrival of the makeup artists at 4:00am, and the music didn’t stop until well past 11:00pm that night.  When you celebrate passion like Christian and Maureen have for each other, you can’t constrain it to a measly 8, or 12, or 14 hours.  As the sun rose over downtown San Diego, a buzz was in the air at the Hard Rock Hotel, where the wedding parties were feverishly preparing for the amazing day that lay before them.  The ladies put the finishing touches on their makeup, the guys made sure a drink was in hand and their cheap drugstore sunglasses were accounted for.  After a magical First Look atop the Hard Rock, the party took us to Anthology for an afternoon of incredible music and dancing, which went late into the cool San Diego night with a private after-party for family and friends.  Thank you Christian and Maureen for one of the most incredible wedding days we have ever had!  And thanks for joining us the next afternoon for your After Thaute session in Mission Beach!
