Tyler + Stephanie :: Red Haute

The smell of the pork chop-on-a-stick and fried Pepsi filled our noses, with the sounds of screaming kids and music filled our ears. We were at the San Diego County Fair, and we were ready to have a great time! Stephanie and Tyler got married back on New Year’s Eve, and Erinn and I were honored to shoot their engagement session and wedding. These two just ooze style, so we decided to drag them out to Del Mar on a beautiful summer evening for some fun photos. This ended up being a whole weekend of shooting with these two, since the next day was their After Thaute Trash the Dress session in Orange County. But for now, enjoy the fun!

Scott + Melissa :: Red Haute (pt 2)

Scott and Melissa share the kind of love for each other that you really do not see all too often.  It’s a rare sight to see a Berkeley alum and a USC alum holding hands, sharing a romantic moment, and living to tell about it.  Yet if these two can overcome an obstacle such as this, they are destined to be together forever.  When Scott smiles, Melissa lights up all over.  When she is instructed to “strike a pose”, giggling often ensues.  These two are perpetually happy, it seems.  Happy to be with each other, happy to almost call each other husband and wife, happy to start the life together that they always dreamed would come one day.

Scott + Melissa :: Red Haute (pt 1)

Part one of our wonderful red haute engagement session with Scott and Melissa at the Getty Center in Los Angeles and the Santa Monica Pier.  These two are tying the knot in September, and their wedding preparations are actually a subject of a weekly E! News segment, starting this Tuesday night at 7pm, so tune in to watch their love story!  A full write-up is coming later this week, but for now, a few previews!

Amber + Matt :: Red Haute

We absolutely, positively, 100% love recommendations and referrals from friends.  That is the heart of our business, because when you are planning a wedding, trusting a good friend or family member for personal referrals is so very important.  For us, the wedding of Amber and Matt this summer will be an amazing day, and we have Erinn’s best friend Sonja to thank for the opportunity.  Matt is her brother, and last weekend I met up with these two lovebirds in downtown Laguna Beach for some morning engagement photos, and we had a great time.  There’s so many cool nooks and crannies in this town, no matter how many times you shoot there, you can always find a new spot, a new angle.  Amber and Matt will be getting married on a cruise boat in Newport Harbor, and we are so excited!  Thank you guys for putting up with me for a couple hours, and I hope your pants have dried out!

Tony + Holli :: Red Haute

As I was stuck in a dentist’s chair, hearing the high-pitched whirr of an ultrasonic sandblaster going at the plaque on my teeth, Erinn was on her way to downtown Los Angeles for a photo shoot.  This was not just any photo shoot, however, it was time to take photos of her younger brother and his gorgeous girlfriend Holli, a Brit with a fierce sense of humor and, as you will see in the photos, some captivating eyes.  Holli has a week before she heads back to school in England, so Tony came down from film school at Berkeley to surprise her.  The three of them spent a few hours exploring Union Station and Olvera Street, and she captured some great photos!  Here’s a sampling of what she took, more can be seen on the E.D.
