Richard + Lynnette :: Spokane Riverfront Park Wedding Part 1

Family weddings are always an extra-special occasion.  But when the oldest daughter of your cousin walks down the aisle, someone you’ve spent summers with since she was in diapers, someone who used to climb on your back like a jungle gym, it means just a little bit more.  For Lynnette and Richard, this day was a long time coming, and they made the most of it.  From the getgo, there was an utter lack of ability to take anything, or anyone, (especially the photographers) seriously, and it was fantastic!  There was constant laughter in the air, in between the tears of joy and the sounds of noses being blown into tissues.  Even the weather cooperated perfectly, as the rain clouds and water droplets cleared over the Spokane River literally five minutes before the ceremony was set to start, in the middle of Riverfront Park in downtown Spokane.  Someone surely was watching down on these two.  Thank you Lynnette and Richard for letting us capture every laugh, every smile, every moment of your amazingly haute day!

Chris + Traci :: Downtown Seattle Engagement Session Part 1

Most of our wedding clients come to their photo shoot by car.  But not Chris and Traci.  They came in a plane, a 737 to be exact, from Los Angeles all the way to Seattle and the beautiful Pacific Northwest for their pictures.  And they brought props, lots of cool props!  When you include sunflowers, an umbrella, and 10 two-foot-diameter balloons, you start to wonder what you’re doing.  But with these two stylish people, what you got was one amazing engagement session!  We started off at Gasworks Park, just north of downtown Seattle, which is incredibly cool and unique.  Then, the balloons arrived, so many and so big that each bouquet of five balloons came with its own brick to hold it down.  Then, it was off to explore the streets of downtown Seattle, including Pikes Market, which is always super cool.  This is just part one, so enjoy these photos and get ready for lots more!

A glimpse into our wedding style

Most photographers out there develop their own style, both in personality and the look of their finished imagery. When choosing your photographer, it always helps to see how they work during a wedding… what their personality is like, how they interact with you, how they have fun with everything. We were lucky to have a professional video crew on hand documenting our latest wedding in Santa Barbara, here’s a glimpse at how we shoot the groomsmen portraits. Enjoy!
