The sun broke through the summer clouds at just the right time. The groom was getting a headstart on his husbandly duties, making sure each direction sign on the one-lane country road had been placed in the right spot, with a strategic red balloon securely attached. The bride was smiling, anxiously awaiting her new life with the man of her dreams at her side. For Mike and Alina, pomp and circumstance were only words in a dictionary, they wanted their special day to be an intimate affair; just good food, good company, and a whole lot of celebrating. Under the familiar oak tree, older than any of the guests in attendance, these two became one, surrounded by their friends and family. It was an honor to be a part of this celebration, this start to a new kind of love, one that even all the clouds in the sky could darken.
