Scott + Kristina :: Port of Los Angeles Engagement

When our clients have unique access to photo locations, we suddenly turn giddy, like little kids finding out they’re on their way to Disneyland.  So when we started talking with Kristina and Scott about where we would plan their engagement session, the idea of shooting at the Port of Los Angeles was a dream come true.  A beautiful Sunday afternoon greeted us as we passed through security, and an unusually-quiet day at the Port was just what we were hoping for.  Kristina and Scott were definitely made to be in front of the camera, and their adventurous spirit was ideal for the spot they chose to share some laughs and embrace each other as future husband and wife!  They’ll be getting married next month in Long Beach, and we cannot wait to see what’s in store for that exciting day!!

Kasra + Susan :: A Santa Monica Engagement

On a beautiful summer day, the crowds flock to some of LA’s most famous landmarks.  The Santa Monica Pier was no exception, and as we weaved our way through the tourists and street vendors to meet up with Kasra and Susan, we started thinking where we could escape the hoards.  Luckily, we were able to find a few spots of solace from the mayhem on the boardwalk, and our two subjects acted as if they were the only souls atop the wooden structure, jetting out into the golden Pacific waters.  Kasra has to be one of the most affectionate grooms we have met, which made our jobs so much easier.  There was no complaints from either one when we asked them to kiss, or hold each other, or whisper sweet nothings into a lover’s ear.  We followed them from the Santa Monica Pier crowds to the peaceful Los Angeles County Museum of Art, where we finished up our amazing day with the perfect light of sunset streaming through the steel, concrete and glass of the amazing grounds.  Thank you guys for braving the stampedes, being up for anything we asked, and especially a fantastic dinner!  We cannot wait for your wedding later this summer at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills!

Sean + Christina :: A Los Angeles Engagement

Sometimes, as photographers, we just get lucky.  We’re incredibly lucky to do what we do and make a living at it.  But on a smaller scale, we can get lucky with the weather on a day where it isn’t looking good.  We can get lucky with an incredibly stylish couple that just knows how to work the camera.  And we can get lucky finding new, amazing locations to shoot.  On this day, with Sean and Christina, we got lucky on all three counts.  With storm clouds and rain threatening in the morning, the afternoon sun cleared them away and revealed possibly the most perfect conditions for shooting.  These two knew how to dress for the camera, and they looked amazing.  And with a little nervousness still rolling around in their stomachs even after the session was over, I’m excited to show them just how much they rocked this shoot!  Sean and Christina took me all over Los Angeles, eventually ending up at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, which is now on my speed dial of favorite places!  You guys looked fantastic, and we cannot wait for your wedding later this year!!

Bryant + Jenny :: A San Diego Proposal and Engagement

As photographers, we’re always there to capture the happiness and love of our couples during their engagement shoot.  Rarely, however, are we able to share in the most special moment of all, the proposal.  This intimate event is often forgotten about, never remembered on camera, and it’s a shame, because the proposal is one of the most romantic events in history.  Luckily, we know people like Bryant and Jenny.  They knew they were meeting us for their faux-engagement session, after all he had not yet proposed to her.  But on the side, under the radar, Bryant was secretly planning the most memorable day for his future bride.  We were on hand, hidden in the shadows of Balboa Park, ready to capture the moment when he asked Jenny to be his wife.  It was such a sweet moment, and we were so glad to be able to share it with them!  After spending some time in Balboa Park, we headed over to the rooftop party deck of the Icon building in downtown San Diego, with an amazing view of the skyline and Petco Park.  This is also the spot they hope to hold their engagement party, on a Padres gameday of course!

Will + Tricia :: A Balboa Park Engagement

Will and Tricia were up for some adventure, and more than a little fun.  They had it all planned out, the balloons, the timing of the carousel, they were like a well-oiled machine.  But once we started their engagement session at Balboa Park in San Diego, the two lovebirds let loose and were like two kids in a candy store.  We started off riding the Balboa Park carousel, which I hadn’t been on in at least 20 years.  Then we explored the streets of Balboa Park with a very large bouquet of balloons, which we eventually gifted to some very lucky kids, and when we were finished in the Park, we made our way over to Sunset Cliffs in Ocean Beach for an absolutely beautiful sunset.  It was the perfect end to a wonderful day!  Thank you guys for having White Haute Photography a part of your wedding celebration, we cannot wait for the wedding this fall!
